Emily Paust joined Symbiont Science, Engineering and Construction as Deputy General Counsel and Contract Manager.
She brings seven years of corporate law experience to Symbiont. Reporting to Sonya Simon, longtime general counsel for Symbiont, Paust will develop and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers, in particular for construction, design-build and engineering, procurement and construction services of the company. She will also advise on the firm’s terms and conditions for service agreements, standard team agreements, framework service agreements and nondisclosure agreements.
Paust joins the firm of Husch Blackwell, where she held the position of Senior Financial and Corporate Partner. She led, managed and participated in the negotiation and preparation of transaction documents and various types of contracts.
Paust graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2014. She is a member of the Business Law and Construction Law and Public Contracts Sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2011 with a history degree.
