Houston-based Satterfield & Pontikes Construction announced the acquisition of Eagle Contracting, a Fort Worth-based private general contractor specializing in the water and wastewater industry. The conditions were not disclosed.

The company will continue to operate under the Eagle Contracting name and will be led by Roy Ewen, President, and Billy Haynes, Vice President, who will join the S&P management team. Eagle Contracting was founded in 1987 and employs 150 people.

The acquisition expands Satterfield & Pontikes’ presence in Texas and adds a sixth specialty construction subsidiary with Rollcon, Westway Construction, Greco Structures, Pontikes Development and Rocket Concrete Pumping. Satterfield & Pontikes has offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.

“Satterfield & Pontikes is very pleased to have Eagle join our family of companies,” Satterfield & Pontikes President Clay E. Morel said in an announcement last Monday. “Water is a critical part of the overall infrastructure equation and is now an important part of our business. “

The deal will also facilitate Eagle Contracting’s expansion beyond North Texas, according to Ewen.

Founded in 1989, the privately held Satterfield & Pontikes provides pre-construction, construction and consulting services in a variety of industries.
